Job Summary
The Private Clinic receptionist serves as the first point of contact for patients, contractors, and visitors. They handle reception duties, follow procedures and policies, and respond to patient inquiries politely and efficiently.
They guide patients to the appropriate services or professionals, assist the practice team, and maintain a positive and friendly demeanour.
The ideal candidate should have strong communication skills, a compassionate attitude, and the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment. They must be organised, proficient in communication, and able to provide a warm, professional welcome to patients.
Key Responsibilities

Greet and welcome patients, visitors, and staff in a professional manner

Manage phone calls, emails, and other forms of communication promptly and efficiently

Schedule and manage patient appointments using our healthcare management system

Handle patient inquiries and provide information about our services

Ensure the reception area is clean, tidy, and presentable

Process patient payments and manage billing inquiries

Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to data protection regulations

Assist with administrative tasks as needed
Requirements

Previous experience as a receptionist or in a customer service role, preferably in a healthcare setting

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Proficient in using office software, including Microsoft Office Suite

Strong organisational skills and the ability to multitask

A friendly and professional demeanour

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Knowledge of medical terminology is an advantage but not essential

Proficiency in Somali, Arabic, Turkish, or Amharic is desirable but not mandatory. While candidates with these language skills will have an advantage, we encourage applications from all individuals, regardless of their language abilities.
